CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne.
About Department
The community care services within the CGH network provide a range of community and home-based services to support people to remain living at home and maintaining their independence and wellbeing.
About the Role
This Community Network and Volunteer Support Officer is responsible for the facilitation of our community networks, groups and celebrations, supporting our community advisory groups and various committees as well as the recruitment of our volunteers.
Duties
Liaise with counterparts at other external health services to benchmark policies and procedures as required
Represent CGH on any Gippsland wide Consumer Advisory Committee Forums
Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of CGH community committees and projects
Monitor and maintain Secretariat support for CGH committee forums including Community Liaison Group and others
Maintain volunteer database which includes maintaining records on police checks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Previous experience working within the health and/or community sector particularly in consumer engagement
Sound knowledge of client-centred services
Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and liaison skills
Demonstrated computer literacy skills including the ability to operate in a MS Windows environment.
Well-developed teamwork skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
