Community Manager (Social Media) Location: Melbourne, Australia or SydneyThis role is a part-time position working 5 days a week (approximately 15 hours a week).
Description Monks is looking for a savvy freelance social community manager to manage the social accounts of a large global client in Australia. You'll be part of our 1000+ strong global social team and will collaborate with Global and APAC staff to deliver best-in-class social experiences to audiences of well-known and loved brands.

Role & Responsibilities Channel operation: Oversee our clients' social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and more). Posting, scheduling, and updating client feeds as required, without glitches.Conversations management: Keep the conversations going by replying to consumer posts that enhance brand consideration. You'll be at the forefront of acquiring and sharing detailed consumer insights with the team to inform broader marketing strategies.External feed social listening: Monitor relevant feeds and forums in the clients' categories to understand the conversations, risks, and opportunities around our brands.Content Planning: Calendar planning for client content, including newsworthy announcements and social trends, ensuring we apply learnings and evolve the feed.Channel Reporting: Prepare reports on post performance and conversations to provide our clients with an accurate quantitative view of sentiment and appeal of published content.Boosting [bonus]: Familiarity with boosting best practices in Meta, TikTok, and Google platforms is a plus.Requirements Experience & Skill: Around 5+ years of proven experience in social media, PR, or communication. Exceptional candidates with less experience must present a compelling case for consideration. Mastery of social media platforms and their distinct communication styles is essential.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with leading social content management systems (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite) is required. You should be adept at crafting engaging, audience-winning captions in English, and understanding the impact of hashtags and emojis on messaging.Strategic Thinking: A multitasking master who does not lose sight of the bigger picture while loving the small details. You're a planning expert, ensuring timely message delivery and proactively gathering necessary information, regardless of time zones or geographic distances.Organization & Structure: Demonstrated ability to keep social media efforts well-organized and structured, aiming for a coherent and compelling social media presence.Communication: Strong confidence and communication skills are a must for effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working effectively both as part of a team and independently, maintaining high standards of work and team cohesion.Initiative: Eagerness to innovate and achieve excellence, spearheading world-class work through constant initiative.About Monks: Monks is on a mission to create a new future for this industry.
