About the Role
The Quality & Risk Partner will be responsible for the ongoing management and review of governance framework policies, procedures, and work instructions.
The role will take lead responsibility for financial and corporate governance activities for the organisation, and work collaboratively with management to identify and respond to Operational needs.
They will work as part of a team that is responsible for the review and implementation of the CLS Quality Framework, including ensuring CLS meet registration standards and reporting requirements, reviewing and continuously learning from the current framework and providing oversight of investigations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Regularly review and maintain policy, procedure and working instruction suite to ensure alignment with legal and registration requirements and the overarching Governance Framework.
Lead organising external audit processes, including collaborating with relevant departments pre-, during, and post-audit.
Lead organising internal audit processes for corporate and financial departments.
Collaborate with management to ensure the Service Delivery internal audits are conducted on a routine basis and provide input into their focus.
Facilitate continuous improvement activities in collaboration with the team.
Manage all external contracts for the organisation (including but not limited to tenancy agreements and liability insurances).
Provide quality assistance and oversight to planning and events.
Work closely with management in maintaining effective corporate and risk governance.
Work closely with management in reviewing the governance framework, and identifying, and designing continuous improvement opportunities.
Consult broadly with CLS stakeholders (clients, support workers, SIL coordinators) in understanding needs and barriers to operationalising the governance framework.
Collaborate with content-knowledge experts to develop effective solutions.
Maintain a current knowledge of changes to legislation, practice standards and client requirements.
Keep abreast of best practices and emerging trends and interpretations of legislative/regulatory requirements that may impact the organisation.
Apply work practices & conduct that comply with CLS Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct as well as the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Mandatory Requirements
Qualifications in areas such as Quality, Safety or Operations, or Minimum of 3 years' experience working in either compliance or governance spaces.
Understanding of the NDIS Quality Framework and Incident Reporting Requirements.
Understanding of the Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) legislative/regulatory, including privacy and data management.
Ability to develop/contribute to the development or policies, procedures and guidance tools.
A good grounding in digital systems, including the ability to review and analyse collected data for trends & patterns.
Ability to work autonomously when required as well as raise issues and barriers to progressing tasks proactively with line management.
Demonstrated ability to maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on project or operational issues, and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
Proven ability to remain positive and respond to increased levels of pressure in a calm manner, while achieving goals within tight timeframes and responding to competing and changing priorities.
Proficiency in digital tools and interest in leveraging technology and AI for operational efficiencies.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Mentoring and coaching skills (or ability to acquire).
Facilitation/collaboration skills (or ability to acquire).
A current driver's license.
Be eligible for, or hold a current Working with Children Blue Card.
Be eligible for, or hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Card.
Preferred
Experience in providing training and facilitating consultation sessions.
Experience in State and NDIS Restrictive Practice Requirements.
