Community Development (Community Services & Development) Full time Community Liaison Officer Roles (Flexible FT/PT/Casual) Travel required across Loddon, Gannawarra and Buloke Shires. As Community Liaison Officer you will draw on your strong community ties to facilitate open and honest communication between AEMO and local stakeholders.
You'll utilise your strong interpersonal skills to develop and implement community engagement plans that build trust and support the long-term success of the Victorian New South Wales Interconnector VNI West project, a major infrastructure initiative crucial for Australia's energy transition.
In this role you'll act as a conduit between AEMO and local communities, ensuring that their concerns and perspectives are effectively communicated and addressed.
Key Responsibilities: Cultivate and maintain strong, respectful, cooperative, trusting, and lasting relationships with communitiesProvide an active presence in the community, including attendance at out-of-business hours meetings and functionsShare community feedback and concerns, ensuring their voice is represented and considered during decision-makingDevelop and deliver targeted, regionally focused community strategies and plansIdentify risks associated with complex or sensitive issues and collaborate to develop strategies to address themQualifications/Skills: 5+ years experience in stakeholder or community engagement, customer service, social science, or a related fieldDemonstrated ability to build long-term relationships, liaise, negotiate, and effectively address and resolve risks and issuesExperience using a wide range of software programsAbility to work in a range of environments, including rural communitiesDriver's licenceAbout AEMO: AEMO is Australia's independent energy system, market operator and system planner.
