About the Opportunity At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are looking for someone who has significant recent experience in overseeing civil engineering projects with demonstrated leadership skills and has proven skills in investigation, plan development, estimating and design of transport and/or stormwater infrastructure works. You must be confident in your abilities as you will have a high level of responsibilities. This position will also require someone who is approachable and collaborative whilst being self-motivated, organised and adaptive to change due to the management component of this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant engineering discipline acceptable for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia), or recognised degree in other discipline with relevant experience to the position. Significant recent experience with overseeing civil engineering strategic asset planning for largest transport, bridge and/or stormwater networks. Proven skills in investigation, plan development and estimation of transport, bridges and/or stormwater infrastructure works. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with the ability to manage, coach and develop teams of other professionals and influence thinking and actions to bring about desired results, solve problems and achieve outcomes. Proven experience at managing teams and performance delivery to achieve KPI's, budget and operational plan outcomes. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder negotiation skills. Advanced computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets and databases. Demonstrated sensitivity to community needs and expectations. On a typical day this role will: Manage and coordinate the development and update of strategic infrastructure plans for transport, stormwater and bridges and structures including the development of prioritised works programs and asset management plans. Provide strategic advice to the Division and team in the implementation of programs, policies, standards, practices, systems as well as authoritative advice on issues of strategic importance. Lead the CIPD Strategic Team and undertake regular check-ins regarding current status of and any barriers to the completion of tasks and projects. Lead, develop, support and grow CIPD Strategic Team under the corporate values to achieve organisational objectives. Manage, monitor and review funding strategies, asset management programs, and lifecycle budgets, including grant funding and annual works program expenditures and financial allocations to inform Council's Resourcing Strategy and Delivery Program. Remuneration and Benefits Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $122,466 to $137,849 depending on skills and experience.
