Our Role: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Community Housing Officer to join our team.
In this full-time fixed-term role, you will assist families and individuals in maintaining their housing, providing essential support to those experiencing homelessness, and facilitating access to more affordable accommodation options.
Key Responsibilities: Support individuals with complex needs in addressing homelessness or maintaining their tenancy through a case management framework.
Conduct intake assessments for new clients and develop personalized service plans.
Promote independent living skills and client choice.
Collect and report client data using electronic databases as required.
Collaborate with community and government agencies, as well as real estate agencies, as part of your case management duties.
Ensure that service delivery aligns with all legislative guidelines and internal procedures.
Travel throughout the Fraser Coast, South and North Burnett, and Wide Bay regions as needed.
What We Need From You: Qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, Social Housing, or relevant experience in the community sector.
Experience in accommodation services or real estate is highly regarded.
Understanding of the housing framework or the ability to learn quickly.
A current Queensland driver's license.
National Police Certificate.
Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
A commitment to a person-centered approach to service provision.
