Community Food Program Coordinator - MorwellAs the Community Food Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of the Community Food Centre's community food programs. The role will facilitate Community Cooking Classes and coordinate the Social Café, providing exceptional program coordination and customer service to support local community members accessing the Community Food Centre.Please note, this is a fixed-term contract for a period of 18 months. This role is part-time, working 3 days per week.Are you ready to make a difference?As the Community Food Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of the Community Food Centre's community food programs. Ours is more like 'no two hours are the same'.What you'll be doing:Deliver practical, interactive, hands-on cooking classes in accordance with agreed targets and timeline.Respond to Cooking Class participant enquiries and concerns and work proactively to solve problems.Responsible for the coordination of food delivery program set up, pack down, food preparation, program resources and equipment.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operation of the food delivery programs.Ensure food safety requirements are met and maintained across all food programs.Manage administration related to the delivery of community food programs including class management and ordering of food.Assist with creating processes relevant to food delivery programs.Follow all program food delivery processes including cleaning and stock-taking.Data collection and tracking of community food programs.Assist with the monitoring, assessment and reporting of program impacts.Provide customer service and hospitality to the community, ensuring the community feels welcomed.Why you're right for us:You want to be a part of a brand that's been around for over 90 years and genuinely share our passion for our vision of healthy food for all.Excellent interpersonal skills to develop positive working relationships, including working with community members by making them feel welcomed.Customer service or hospitality background preferred.Demonstrated experience in delivering and facilitating cooking classes.Demonstrated experience in delivering effective public facing programs.Desired experience in store or merchandise presentation, preferably in a food retail/hospitality environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Numerical and analytical skills.Well-developed organisational and time management skills.Highly organised with excellent project coordination skills.Excellent customer service skills.Able to live and breathe our values of empowerment, accountability, integrity, respect, diversity, and equality.Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Hold and maintain a current driver's license.We can offer you:Access to salary packaging benefits to increase your take home pay.Staff satisfaction rates above 80%.An organisation focused on employee wellbeing.Supportive team environment that embraces change and innovation.Keen to apply?Please review the Position Description on our website in the 'Careers' section at www.foodbankvictoria.org.au and get to know us before you apply.Email your application to ****** to include an up-to-date resume and cover letter.Must have permanent working rights with no restrictions in Australia.
