Event Management (Marketing & Communications)
The Community & Events Manager leads a small team to oversee Auto & General's community program and deliver key employee events throughout the year.
Community: Manage the A&G Difference program, including partnerships, fundraising, volunteering, corporate donations, dollar matching, and workplace giving.
Events: Organise three major events annually: the End of Year Celebration, Family Fun Event, and Annual Charity Golf Day.
This role includes one direct report, the Community Consultant.
The role
Community Development and Philanthropy
Promote A&G's philanthropic commitment aligned with business values.
Manage the A&G Difference program and the Good Company community platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, charities, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance awareness and engagement in the A&G Difference program.
Oversee the corporate donations, sponsorship, and workplace giving budget in line with community strategy.
Events
Project manage anage and execute three major employee events: the End of Year Celebration, A&G Family Fun Day, and Charity Golf Day, in partnership with the GM of Employee Experience.
Develop event budgets, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and handle logistics and communication materials.
Serve as the key contact for the EventsAir system for all A&G events.
Comply with workplace health and safety protocols.
Willingness to work out of hours and travel to various A&G offices as needed.
What experience you'll bring

Tertiary education in Business, Communications, Event Management, or Philanthropic studies, with at least five years of experience.
Proven experience managing large-scale community or philanthropic programs and events across multiple locations, preferably in-house.
Strong advisory skills to achieve outcomes in a high-performance, high-integrity environment within a dynamic team.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and partnering skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to the company's tone and brand.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude; a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Passion for making a positive impact through corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Location – Toowong
