An opportunity based in Karratha for a Community Engagement Officer In contributing to RRKAC's overarching vision and purpose, the Community Engagement Officer – Member Services works closely with Community and Country and Culture teams to provide an integrated approach to delivering services to members.
The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for implementing community development, education, and capacity building programs, as well as providing quality individual and group support. As part of the larger Community Team, this position aims to support RRK individuals by forging connections with existing services and organisations in order to implement programs that positively impact RRK people.
The role works to build, strengthen, and maintain referral pathways assisting RRK people, to connect with existing services and other organisations to deliver programs. This includes leading the delivery of the Member Support Program through regular contact, information, and referral to internal and external services. The position is responsible for ensuring that all applications are handled in compliance with the relevant guidelines, KML and RRKAC's governing documents and policies, as well as legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the RRKAC teams, to provide an integrated service delivery approach to members. Lead the delivery of proactive and responsive member services through regular contact, information, referral to internal and external services and programs. Implement a range of community development, education, and capacity building programs across the Community team portfolio. Collaborate closely with RRK members, offering assistance in comprehending and fulfilling paperwork and documentation to effectively access services. Work with community members and organisations to increase understanding of RRKAC's role and activities, and their engagement in specific initiatives. Identify opportunities to partner with other organisations to deliver programs that benefit RRK people, draft proposals for consideration by the team and management. Coordinate and deliver RRKAC projects and programs as required. Plan and facilitate RRKAC community engagement events. To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualification and/or experience in a relevant community development, organisational development and/or community services field. Experience in facilitating service delivery to diverse range of stakeholders. Sound knowledge of community engagement principles and practices. Demonstrated contemporary experience in the research, planning, development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of innovative community engagement programs. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills that include the ability to communicate, negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders. High level attention to detail, effective time management and prioritisation skills with ability to be flexible to meet business and stakeholder requirements. Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain), Valid Open C Class License, pass pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol test.
