The Role: We have an exciting, newly created full-time position, providing the opportunity to join AIDH as a Community Engagement Officer reporting to the General Manager - Community Engagement. 
The purpose of the Community Engagement Officer role is to support the Community Engagement Team to ensure the efficient functioning of AIDH's membership and partnerships functions. The role will work across a range of programs in the organisation, providing opportunities to assist in all facets of engagement. This key role requires a high level of attention to detail, time management, and the capability to manage multiple deadlines - and strong teamwork skills.
Key Areas of Responsibility: Program and event administration –  Support with logistic management and administration for leadership programs and events within the community engagement function Committee administration – Provide administration support for committees that represent the Community Engagement function Community Engagement administration –  Provide administration support services for the Community Engagement function What you will bring to the role to succeed: You will have a minimum of 3 years in a customer service, business administration or program/event coordinator role. 
Strategy and project management experience will be useful – helping leaders create and implement strategic plans
Your energetic, engaging personality and your ability to build strong relationships and bring a positive vibe to the team, will lead to success, as too will your ability to multi-task and enjoyment of working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in the not-for-profit sector and/or health sectors will be favourably viewed.
Ideally, you will have a proven track record of: Displaying flexibility and willingness to perform varying duties Managing competing priorities effectively to meet deadlines Maintaining a confident, approachable and level-headed communicator with good judgement who maintains confidentiality to handle issues of a sensitive nature with tact and discretion Making decisions and solving problems.  Maintaining a high degree of personal energy and a proactive, flexible approach. Managing a varied and challenging workload by multi-tasking, adjusting priorities to work efficiently, and to meet deadlines Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a proven record in liaising and communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally across the business and externally representing the organisation in a professional manner Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite (v.10)  Showing initiative, managing your own time, and working unsupervised but also working effectively as a key member of a small team What's to love about AIDH?
