Grand Pacific Health is looking for experienced Community Engagement Officer to support the establishment of the new Queanbeyan Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Hub.
The Queanbeyan AOD hub will utilise an approach that prioritises strong coordinated care.
The hub will provide treatment and support for people using the service, including warm referrals to other services that meet the persons social, emotional wellbeing needs centred around a collaborative care plan that is led by the consumer.
Services can be delivered virtually, on country or through outreach.
The Queanbeyan AOD Hub is a collaboration between Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health and Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Region Health and Community Services.

About the position The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for facilitating and enhancing community engagement initiatives within the Queanbeyan AOD Hub program.
This position plays a crucial role in promoting community integration, building relationships, and creating a supportive environment for consumers.
The Community Engagement Officer will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement community engagement strategies and activities that empower consumers and foster a sense of belonging.
This is a full-time opportunity (76 hours per fortnight), fixed term for 12 months from the date of employment.

What youll need We are looking for someone with: Previous experience with implementing effective strategies to engage the local community and consumers in meaningful activities through the organisation of community events, workshops, and awareness campaigns that promote cultural understanding and social integration.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community organisations, local businesses, educational institutions, and other key stakeholders.
