Community Engagement Manager

As Community Engagement Manager with us, you will work closely with other Leaders within our organisation to develop and execute our business plan and strategic vision for The Westport Club. You'll also create valuable strategic relationships within our local community and be an ambassador for The Westport Club brand as we deliver our contribution to the local community through a variety of welfare, education, health, and sporting projects.

We offer a diverse range of facilities including restaurants, cafes, bars, gaming, TAB, Keno, promotions, and events. You'd also be part of a larger group of registered clubs in NSW, called Mingara Leisure Group, which allows you to contribute to other local communities across NSW and allows for great career development opportunities.

More about the role This role is diverse and fulfilling and gives you a taste of club operational leadership and community, including:
Management and delivery of key community events and projectsManagement of The Westport Club's Community budgetProviding leadership for our wider team in club operationsWorking as part of the Destination Leadership team in the execution of the site's business planBoard and Government ReportingAdministration of The Westport Club's Club GRANT's program in accordance with legislative requirementsProviding support to our Sub and Affiliated Sporting Clubs to ensure their administration is maintained, and compliant with legislative requirementsInvolvement in local committees who work together to identify, understand, and prioritise community needWhat success looks like Our successful candidate will have:
Great communication skills and confidence in public speaking and networkingThe ability to maintain great relationships and strategic partnerships with all levels of Government and local mediaExcellent administration skills including advanced computer skills and report writing. Experience administering grant applications would be highly desirableNatural leadership skills and the ability to foster a collaborative working culture at all levels in an organisationThe ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute towards the operational success of the organisationThis opportunity brings together the best of working in a desirable coastal location for a progressive, leadership-focused organisation, where the local community is at the heart of what we do.
