We are partnered with Friends with Dignity to match them with an enthusiastic Community Engagement Liaison Coordinator to join the team as a volunteer .
Working closely with our National Fundraising and Community Engagement Manager, this role is key in supporting community requests for volunteering, donations, and engagement opportunities, helping us make a tangible impact on those affected by domestic violence.
The Opportunity:
Attend events to speak about Friends with Dignity (or arrange a local volunteer too).
Reach out to the local community to help create awareness of Friends with Dignity and how people can support us (You would have a community email address to do this from).
Attend networking events on behalf of FwD to meet new people and share what we do and how they can help.
Actively identify and advise of potential fundraising or event opportunities to the Fundraising and Community Engagement Manager.
Role would take up to 2 hours maximum a week.
Must be located in or around Melbourne.
Attend team meetings via Microsoft Teams regularly.
Skills Required:
Technologically savvy or willingness to learn – experience with Word / Excel / Teams essential.
Strong written and verbal communications.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
Ability to use discretion and handle confidential matters.
Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
Self-starter and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Flexible attitude to changes in work and practices and in response to business needs.
Down-to-earth, friendly, and courteous manner; with a sense of fun.
