About the Opportunity We're on the lookout for a talented Community & Engagement Advisor to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of the Medlow Bath Upgrade project.
The Medlow Bath Upgrade is transforming a 1.2 kilometre stretch of the Great Western Highway into a safer and more efficient thoroughfare.
This highly complex project is located in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, requiring innovative planning to work within live traffic, manage heritage considerations, and ensure minimal disruptions to the local community and businesses.
Abergeldie is proud to engage with local suppliers and workers to deliver this project while supporting the community through proactive communication and engagement initiatives.
Based full-time on-site at Medlow Bath, you will work collaboratively with our project and management teams and be the on-the-ground point of contact for the community and residents, implementing project-specific communication action plans to effectively engage with stakeholders and the local community.
What you'll bring to the team Experience in a stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications, ideally with experience working on infrastructure or construction projects.
Qualifications in communications, public relations, community engagement or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse stakeholders, and capacity to influence stakeholders and foster engagement.
A forward-thinking and innovative approach, coupled with creative problem-solving abilities, underpinned by a strong focus on delivery and results.
