The role
We want a talented Community Engagement Advisor to join our team,where you will be a trusted advisor on a range of capital works projects, mostly in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.You'll develop and implement high-quality community engagement andcommunication plans that deliver positive experiences for our customers andcommunity.
Your strong strategic planning, communication and evaluationskills will be applied in line with your sound understanding of IAP2 principlesand substantial experience of delivering engagement activities. With yourability to identify and manage risks around impacts to our customers andcommunity, you'll deliver a best practice approach to communication andengagement.
Working closely with our community, internal stakeholders,business, and government stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in supportingsuccessful project outcomes for all.
What will I be doing? Develop, deliver, and monitor community engagement andcommunication strategies for a range of capital works and operationalprojects Ensure customer and community organisationalperspectives are included in project planning and delivery Ensure community engagement and communicationsinitiatives are aligned to our brand strategy Communicate project impacts to our customers,community, and stakeholders Build and secure customer satisfaction by generatingawareness of our brand and the benefits of partnerships, by persuasivelycommunicating through a variety of channels Work across the business to provide project managersand staff with effective advice on best practice engagement andcommunication to identify and mitigate risks that could lead to customerdissatisfaction. Identify opportunities to improve communicationchannels, leveraging emerging technologies where appropriate and leveraging local community Develop trusting, productive relationships across theorganisation, and with external stakeholders in the eastern suburbs Toview the position description, click here .

About you? To be set up for success in this role, you'll most likely have: Tertiary qualification in Communications and/or Marketing Full Victorian Drivers Licence 3-5+ years of experience in a community engagement,stakeholder management public relations and/or communications Demonstrated knowledge of effective publicparticipation frameworks and models (IAP2) Demonstrated knowledge of effective communicationtools, techniques and mechanisms, brand risk mitigation, and of socialmedia and digital communications platforms Capacity to develop staff capabilities relating tocommunity engagement Established interpersonal and negotiation skills indealing with key stakeholders including senior management, customers,consultants, contractors, regulators and committees Established experience in managing all documents,policies and procedures, standards and specifications Experience in developing strategies, analysis, andefficiency improvements Why Yarra Valley Water?
This is a permanent full-time position, classified asan Officer Level 4, salary range $107,675 - $113,862 per annum dependenton experience, plus 12% superannuation
