Our opportunity As the Community Development Officer - Masterplanned Communities, you will be responsible for realising community development and social sustainability outcomes across our projects in NSW. The role is responsible for the planning and delivery of a broad range of community-building and placemaking initiatives throughout the entire development process.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work with relevant Development team to develop each project's Community Development Strategy and annual implementation plans.Coordinate the development and delivery of programs, projects, activities and events to improve outcomes for residents and the wider community in consultation with key stakeholders.Facilitate opportunities for community members to actively participate in generating ideas, planning and delivering programs, projects and services that positively affect the community and respond to community needs.Ensure community spaces and amenity are well activated and utilised by the community.Facilitate the establishment of new relationships, community groups and relevant forums and networks to promote information and resource sharing.Develop strong and positive relationships with residents, community groups, community service organisations, local government and the project team to achieve community and project objectives.Your point of difference Demonstrated experience in Community Development specifically the management of stakeholder and community liaison, consultation and communications, including working with local councils in addition to community groups and associations.Demonstrated acumen and validated experience in community event management from concept through to promotion and delivery.Experience working with and establishing meaningful connections between residents from diverse cultural communities.Experience working with master-planned communities and greenfield communities preferred.This position requires a First Aid certificate, Working with Children Check, Police Check, a Current Drivers Licence and access to a personal vehicle (appropriate compensation for work use will be forthcoming).
