The Community Development Officer will engage with diverse stakeholders and communities across the Rockhampton Region, Livingstone, and Banana Shires.
The focus is on fostering referral pathways, community engagement, and building sustainable partnerships to support housing and homelessness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Stakeholder Engagement:
Build relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, businesses, and community organisations.Navigate interactions across various contexts, from formal government settings to vulnerable community spaces.Community Development:
Identify and address community needs, particularly around homelessness and housing.Organise and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events to raise awareness and encourage active participation.Resource and Partnership Building:
Develop strategic networks to secure funding and resources through grants and partnerships.Drive solutions to identified community challenges, creating opportunities for collaboration.Project Management:
