You willalso assist the City to create, support and facilitateopportunities for, and with First Nations people/s in the areas ofarts, health and well-being, education, employment, economicdevelopment and heritage. You will identify, facilitate and promotelearning and development opportunities for Council members, staff,and / or the community, which ensure a culturally secure service,and a deeper understanding of culture for the whole community.You are a self-motivated individual with respect for and lived /professional knowledge and experience of First Nations culture andcommunities. You are experienced in working and consulting with keystakeholders, your administration, written and verbal communicationskills are well developed, and you have excellent attention todetail. You can prioritise work, multi-task and work in afast-paced environment.You have relevant tertiary qualification and a current"C" class driver's licence.The City recognises Aboriginality as a genuine qualification forthis position under 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984(WA). To apply you must identify and be recognisedwithin your community as a First Nations person.To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing essential selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:Sound knowledge and understanding of First Nations people/scultures, inclusive of history, traditional and contemporaryvalues and protocols, and other issues relevant to FirstNations people/s communities in an urban setting.Knowledge and experience in engaging and consulting withFirst Nations people/s.Experience in identifying stakeholders, and establishingand maintaining networks with First Nations community members,groups and service providersWe are offering a gross salary of $82,627 per annum,and:11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute upto 5%.A variety of health and wellbeing programs.Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days offand two additional paid days of absence per annum.Training and development opportunities including paid studyleave and study fees.Salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles,etc.An information package is available on our website .
