Community Corrections Officer – Hornsby Community Corrections Corrective Services NSW Location: Hornsby Community Corrections Office, 61 Hunter St, Hornsby NSW 2077 Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 (Starting at $93,295pa) plus employer's contribution to Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading. What you'll do Community Corrections Officers are trained to provide case management for offenders being supervised on community-based orders such as Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders and Community Corrections Orders and work with offenders in custody to prepare for their release into the community on parole. There are extensive training opportunities and promotion opportunities as you progress. If you enjoy writing, working with a great team, and liaising across multiple stakeholders then this work will interest you Essential requirements • Current driver's licence and have a willingness/ability to drive within NSW. What we're looking for People who are prepared to do their very best in line with our values and behaviours with a strong focus on community safety. Understand the NSW criminal justice system. Commitment in providing support and strengthening relationships between Communities and Justice. Excellent Communications skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and display integrity. Case Management experience, high resilience, great motivation, and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a challenging environment and apply cultural sensitivity. Successful candidates will be mandated to undertake a four-week, in-person training program at our Brush Farm Academy as an integral component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.
