Community Corrections: Fixed Term Employment Register The fixed term employment register is designed to provide Community Corrections with a pool of suitable applicants to undertake the duties of Probation Officer or Court Diversion Officer on a fixed term basis. Prior training, experience and qualifications are not required, but relevant tertiary or industry qualifications are desirable. Flexible options will be considered regarding part-time hours. Applications are invited from persons interested in being considered for fixed term employment for a period of up to 12 months. Vacancies arise from time to time for the positions as outlined below. Case Work Support Officer Salary range: $72,605.00 - $78,481.00 pro rata General Stream Band 3 Case Work Support Officers assess offenders within the corrections system and provide comprehensive reports regarding their level of risk and suitability for community-based orders.  Statement of Duties (Generic) Case Work Support Officer.docx  Statement of Duties (Generic) Case Work Support Officer.pdf Probation Officer Salary range: $80,593.00 - $92,764.00 pro rata General Stream Band 4 Probation Officers help protect the community by supervising offenders on community based orders, addressing offending behaviours, providing opportunities for rehabilitation and ensure offenders comply with court orders. The following checks are to be conducted: 1. Pre-employment checks • Arson and fire setting • Violent crimes and crimes against the person • Sex-related offences • Drug and alcohol related offences • Crimes involving dishonesty • Crimes involving deception • Making false declarations • Malicious damage and destruction to property • Serious traffic offences • Crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice • Crimes against Executive or the Legislative Power • Crimes involving Conspiracy 2. Disciplinary action in previous employment. 3. Identification check.
