Your work will focus on building trust, providing support, and helping individuals and families navigate available resources to improve their overall health and well-being.Further DetailsStarting October 2024!Competitive salary package and benefits.A supportive and collaborative work environment.The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal communities in the West Pilbara.Professional development opportunities to grow your skills and career.Relocation assistance and accommodation assistance can be negotiated.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with community members to understand their needs and connect them with relevant services and programs.Build and maintain strong relationships with local service providers, ensuring a coordinated approach to community support.Facilitate access to healthcare, social services, and educational resources, helping individuals overcome barriers to these services.Promote health and well-being within the community through outreach, education, and advocacy.Support community events and initiatives aimed at improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal people in the West Pilbara.Provide culturally sensitive guidance and support, ensuring that services are accessible and tailored to the unique needs of the community.Work closely with other team members to ensure a holistic approach to community care.Selection CriteriaStrong understanding of Aboriginal culture and the challenges faced by Aboriginal communities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with community members.Experience in community engagement, social work, or a related field is highly desirable.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.A passion for helping others and making a positive impact on the community.Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).How to ApplyPlease click 'Apply Now'.
