Who we're looking for: We're looking for an experienced communications professional to work closely with our project teams in representing BMD's interests in a professional manner across various water projects in the South-East.
In this dynamic role, you will hold primary responsibility for communications activities and oversee the stakeholder engagement and communication strategy for the project.
Other duties and responsibilities include: Assist in the development and implementation engagement activities to ensure the local community and key stakeholders are informed of relevant construction works and milestone, including displays, open house, site visits etc.
Plan and prepare project communication materials including works notifications, project updates/newsletters, website updates, social media, presentations and correspondence materials.
Liaise directly with local residents, businesses and stakeholders to identify and investigate community concerns and issues and contribute to their effective management.
Co-ordinate responses to enquiries and complaints from stakeholders so that they meet client standards and requirements.
Be responsible for managing Connect and liaise with the Community and Stakeholder Advisor to close and updates cases as required.
Contribute to stakeholder and community monitoring, recording, measuring and reporting.
Regularly update tables, graphs and spreadsheets in a format ready to present to the ABK team, management team, client and Board.
Use graphic design programs to develop posters, signs, maps etc to communicate information internally and externally.
Coordinate the liaison of outsourcing work for marketing materials including printing, delivery, graphic design etc Assist the team in organising the logistics for site tours and internal events The successful candidate will be a self-starter with: At least 5 years demonstrated stakeholder management experience within the construction industry Tertiary qualification in marketing, public relations, media relations communications, business or similar degree Experience in working in a team, and managing communications, stakeholder engagement and related issues on a major infrastructure project or projects For more about us, head to www.bmd.com.au.
