The Role The Community Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining relationships between the organisation and the communities impacted by its projects or operations.
The role involves providing guidance on community engagement practices, gathering feedback and ensuring that the organisation's activities align with community interests and concerns.
This position is essential to fostering mutual understanding, trust and support between the company and community stakeholders.
Requirements: Minimum 3 Years' experience in Community Engagement, public relations or a similar advisory role.
Ability to work as part of a team to deliver positive outcomes for the company, project and community.
Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry (Highly desirable) Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Work Health and Safety Qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Public Relations or a related field.
Proficient in managing conflicts and addressing concerns diplomatically and professionally.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
Scope Of Work: Act as a primary point of contact for community members, responding to inquiries and providing clear and timely information on project activities.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community engagement events, including forums, public meetings and information sessions.
Build and maintain productive relationships with community leaders, local organisations and other stakeholders to promote open dialogue and cooperation.
Conduct assessments and gather insights to identify community needs, concerns and expectations related to the organisation's projects.
Provide insights and advise project teams and management on community perspectives and potential impacts of project activities.
Identify potential conflicts or issues within the community early and work collaboratively to address them.
