As a Community Advisor you will bring skills and capabilities applicable across multiple projects, sectors and practices as a contributor, expert advisor, or stream lead on projects, or strengthening Nous' internal capability e.g., running training or developing resources to share your expertise with others across Nous. Role responsibilities: Being involved in project delivery from end-to-end, including supporting project teams to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, reviewing deliverables for cultural nuance, etc. Helping design stakeholder engagement strategies for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and communities Developing networks and mobilising community engagement for projects Leading and/or supporting consultation activities, including interviews, focus groups, workshops, and forums Listening to and helping manage community feedback (i.e., risk mitigation and public relations) Reviewing and contributing to proposals and project deliverables, to ensure cultural nuance and safety Supporting Nousers to build cultural competence through work on project teams and other activities for a wider audience such as savvy sessions. Providing universal and targeted cultural competency professional development Supporting the team to write more culturally safe and responsive proposals including advice on method of engagement, etc. You are : An Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander person Self-directed,  you like working autonomously, in a self-directed and entrepreneurial fashion A collaborator ; you bring energy and enthusiasm for collaborating with others throughout the project design and delivery process A fast mover,  who is comfortable with ambiguity and fluid structural arrangements A great communicator , able to communicate feedback from clients, community and stakeholders and provide insights And the practical experience… Prior experience in a diverse professional setting, including with not-for-profits and/or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations A deep understanding and cultural connection to the NT Experience with facilitation and consultation activities Finally, the important details...
