About the Opportunity The Community Activation Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Community Activation and Events team along with the other teams across the department in delivering a wide range of community activation initiatives, programs, and projects across the Western Downs area that contribute to meeting the community needs and aspirations.
This position can be based at any of our regional centres (Dalby/Chinchilla/Miles/Tara or Wandoan), and is full time, fixed term until 30 June 2025. You will be:
Providing administration support across the Communities department as requiredEffectively undertaking procurement tasks across the departmentDeveloping and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersResponding to internal and external customer enquiries and effectively managing correspondence and event promotion applicationsThis role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.
About yourself A person in this position will need to hold a Certificate III in Administration or a relevant certificate in a related field, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have, or be willing to obtain, a working with children blue card.
Mandatory vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.
