These pivotal roles provide 24/7 support and configuration for critical systems across the Onslow Iron operations.The Communications Technicians will play an integral part assisting in the commissioning and start-up of new installations for our Onslow, Haul Road and Kens Bore site operations.
They will contribute collaboratively with both supervisors and vendors to innovate solutions and resolve complex communications problems.This position reports directly to our Superintendent IT Infrastructure and will be based at our Onslow site on a regular 8/6/7/7 roster.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to expand your specialized skillset across our innovative solutions and to enhance career progression.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain and repair telecommunication and electronic equipment in accordance with predefined work programsRead schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets and work instructions to perform product assembly and testing.Ensure maintenance and installation tasks comply with standardsAssist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating actively in Agile Scrum processes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions.Deliver solution enhancements whilst resolving complex communication problems.What is RequiredTrade Qualified or suitable experience or interest in Technology (eg electronics, radio, networking)Strong experience in communication/Cat6A structured cabling with endorsementsUnderstanding and experience in DC power systems ranging from 12v-56vExperience in WLAN/LAN networking installation and fault-finding, including Fiber Optics.ACMA Open Cable RegistrationWorking at Heights certificateElevated Work Platform LicenseCurrent full Manual C Class Driver's LicensePrevious FIFO experience is desirableStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.About Mineral ResourcesMinRes is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
