Communications Technician

Alchemy Recruitment is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider who is seeking an experienced Communications Technician  to join their team on an initial 10-12 month contract Known for their diversity in culture by employing the industry's best, they genuinely believe and demonstrate that their people are their greatest asset and reward generously.
DUTIES REQUIRED IN THIS ROLE:  Develop, install, and maintain various Industrial Network, microwave, WIFI and wireless systems.
Perform the servicing, repair, and maintenance of Autonomous Fleet Management Networks, Systems maintenance, and support Respond to breakdowns on site Fleet Management Systems, GPS and communication networks.
Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES  Experience working in a similar role within the mining industry Previous experience with Breadcrumb systems (Rajant) which control the wireless mesh system (LAN) and Ubiquiti wireless network PtP links        Communication Systems across a range of equipment including draglines, excavators, haul trucks and light vehicles.
Knowledge of collision avoidance and fatigue monitoring systems What to expect in return This is an initial 10-12-month contract role with a leading mining giant working in Mackay and Coal Fields, with excellent remuneration and opportunity for extended tenure.
The job offers a 7/7 day shift-only roster.
DIDO to the mine or FIFO will be available for the right candidate.
The role works across a couple of sites in the Mackay and Coal Frields region.
