Communications Technician

We have a role for an experienced Electronics Technician to join a team of dynamic professionals. The right person will be involved in all aspects of supporting RADAR/SATCOM and Digital platforms to develop optimisation, repair & maintenance (potential to travel in the field on regular occasions throughout Australia). This role is ideally for candidates who are a self-starter, like client liaisons, and enjoy troubleshooting problems. There will be times when you will need to either work individually or in a small team, working with Defence, Government and Industry customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Repair and maintenancePerformance analysis activities using specialist analysis toolsDrafting technical documentation: including electrical drawings, interface control documentsCreating and reviewing maintenance processes and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Cert III in Electrical or Electronics as a minimumExperience with either Radar / Communications / Navigation / Surveillance systemsHave an understanding of radar systems, radar chains and radar performance characteristicsWork autonomously, collaborate as part of a teamApplicants MUST hold a current NV1 and be Australian Citizens to applyAPPLY NOW - This role would suit members of the ADF looking for a new career, LS or CPLs from either of the three services.
