As part of their mission, they're seeking a dynamic and skilled Communications Officer to join the Stakeholder and Issues Management team. Role Overview:
The AO4 Communications Officer will be a vital member of the Stakeholder Management Business Unit, specializing in stakeholder and issues management. In this position, they will be responsible for researching and drafting high-stakes ministerial and executive correspondence, with a focus on providing accurate, timely, and insightful communications that reflect the department's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: Act as a liaison between the department and regional stakeholders, providing clear and strategic executive and ministerial communications that reinforce the department's priorities.
Communication Mastery: Draft and edit a diverse range of materials, including media statements, briefing notes, responses to media inquiries, speech notes, and parliamentary business documents, to inform and engage both internal and external audiences.
Lead Community Consultations: Coordinate and participate in community engagement activities and stakeholder consultations during project phases, building positive relationships throughout the North Coast Region.
Content Relevancy: Oversee and update the regional webpage content to ensure it reflects current projects and initiatives, keeping the community informed and engaged.
Empowering Staff: Provide training, guidance, and support to regional staff and consultants to ensure consistent and effective communication practices, fostering stronger relationships with stakeholders and the public.
