Job DescriptionAbout the position The Communications Officer will provide support to the CEO, COO, the General Managers, the Management Team and other program leaders in corporate and program communications and marketing strategies, internal communications, and associated processes and initiatives.
This will include developing accessible, relevant and effective marketing and communication strategies for all program areas, implementing marketing and promotion activities, community and stakeholder events in collaboration with the relevant program leads and staff.
The role will be responsible for corporate branding, website management and development of strategic communication products (annual report, newsletters and other key communication materials), and supporting media and public relations.
Key Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications in communications, media studies, PR, marketing, journalism, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated ability and experience creating communications for corporate and program-based needsDemonstrated proficiency and confidence in using information communication technology including experience producing web content, maintaining websites, and managing social media and marketing platformsKnowledge and experience working with design software programs (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva etc.
), Microsoft Office suite, EDM systemsDemonstrated ability to coordinate and refine content for branding, messaging, and narrative to ensure effective communication of a high standardExcellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated experience writing for a range of audiencesExcellent time management and ability to work independently, prioritising and planning work to meet set timelines.
This includes demonstrated experience in managing and working to periods of constant change and critical deadlinesDemonstrated experience working with media and/or public relationsDemonstrated high attention to detailExperience and knowledge in videography and photography to produce content for internal and external communication would be desirable.
