Communications Officer Continuing, full time appointment Professional Employee Level 6 - $84,931 – $90,518 pa Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus Develop and implement corporate communications and media strategies for Charles Darwin University.  About the Position The Communications Officer assists in the preparation and implementation of communications activities to profile the good work of the University.  The role will develop, produce, distribute material that profiles CDU and enhances the University's reputation to key stakeholders, including students, government, peak bodies, staff, the media, and the community. The Communications Officer is responsible for writing social posts and editorial, i.e. Annual reports, advertorials, and internal documents. Taking responsibility for a broad range of internal communications requirements, this role will maintain the CDU intranet, website, staff emails and the coordination of information sharing sessions. The position involves regular meetings with various internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent verbal communication, public presentation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional relationships. About You To be successful, you will require: Tertiary qualifications in communication or media disciplines or relevant work experience.  Demonstrated ability to write for a variety of audiences and for multiple outlets – including feature articles, online content, and social media.  Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of communications and public relations methods and practices and proven experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating communications and public relations strategies and campaigns.  Proven ability to liaise effectively across all levels of a large organisation.  Highly developed planning and organisational skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure to manage and meet tight and competing deadlines.  To view the responsibilities of the role, please click on the: Position Profile. Remuneration  Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931 – $90,518 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $99,369 - $105,906 per annum, including 17% superannuation. What's in it for you?
