Communications Officer

Long term Contracting Opportunity within a large and well renowned Federal Government Department Must have at least Negative Vetting 1 Canberra Based Role, Minimal Flexible working conditions. We are recruiting a Communications Officer on behalf of of a large Federal Government Department that promotes and protects Australia's international interests to support our security and prosperity. This Department has a requirement for an 'Awareness Raising and Communication Specialist' to assist with the delivery of security awareness campaigns and change management programs. Key Responsibilities Implement and continually develop the Departments Security Policy Framework (DSF) communication strategy; Support the implementation of the DSF; Develop communications and awareness material and conduct outreach to staff on the DSF. Essential Skills High level communication skills (written & spoken) and working level skills using Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop Highly developed liaison skills and proven communication strategy expert. Desirable Skills Communications including on behaviour and change management initiatives.
