Status: Temporary, Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 12 months with the possibility of extension Salary range: $80,779.69 - $84,782.27 (per annum) dependent on skills, qualifications and experience Opportunity: The City of Albany's Communications Team is looking for an experienced and customer focused individual to take up the role of Communications Officer Commencing in January 2025, reporting to the Communications Coordinator, this role will see you working in a dynamic role to maintain communications material for the City and generate ongoing material for a range of audiences.
The role also provides support for the Communications Team, and in liaison with the Communications Coordinator, is responsible for the coordination of a range of communications activities and channels.
About You: The successful candidate will require: Excellent writing skills inclusive of document proofing and editing; Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels; Considerable planning and organisational ability, in particular, the ability to assess the importance and urgency of tasks in relation to competing interests and timelines; Understanding of the importance of strong internal and external communications and community engagement; Previous experience in a public relations, communications or engagement role; and Experience in the planning and delivery of communication and marketing projects.
