Youth Focus is a for-purpose organisation that creates brighter futures for young people in Western Australia by offering a range of no-cost mental health services.
Established in 1994, Youth Focus delivers innovative and accessible mental health services and programs across Western Australia to help at-risk young people aged 12 to 25.
A key component of this is our role as the lead agency for a number of headspace centres.
We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our team.
This role will be based from our Head Office, located in Burswood, on Whadjuk Noongar Country.
Commence ASAP or in the new year!Full-time positionAbout the RoleThe Communications Officer is responsible for driving and developing communications strategies to celebrate the work of Youth Focus, raise awareness, and build the Organisation's reputation.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Work with key stakeholders, including staff and young people, to tell the stories of youth mental health and share the impact of our organisation.Lead the planning, development, and delivery of content across digital and internal platforms, including sourcing, creating, and engaging with content.Gather feedback from key audiences to adjust communication strategies and ensure meaningful engagement.Support the writing and production of high quality external and internal content, collateral, and publications (e.g.
Annual Report).Develop and maintain networks with media outlets, acting as a central media liaison for Youth Focus, as well as acting as a support to media spokespeople by writing briefing notes.About YouTo be considered for this position, applicants will have:
