The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Communications Manager to provide a critical role within the Adult Parole Board team.
About the Role The Communications Manager is responsible for the Board's communications and media, including developing and implementing priority tasks to deliver optimised communication outcomes.
As the Communications Manager, some of your duties will include:
Developing and implementing communication strategies by delivering targeted communication action plans in line with business objectives and operational needs.Leading and delivering the Board's Annual Report in accordance with legislative requirements, including planning the report in consultation with the Board's Chairperson and Chief Administrative Officer and writing, collating and reviewing content.Managing the Board's media policy, including anticipating and monitoring media, providing strategic advice to the Chairperson and Chief Administrative Officer, carefully communicating information and responding to media enquiries, and liaising with key stakeholders.About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience and ability in the development of communication strategies, with the capacity to deliver effective communication programs.Demonstrated experience in effectively liaising with stakeholders, including media, and the ability to provide high quality information and advice in relation to complex communication issues.A great attention to detail, strong editing skills and ability to mentor others to promote a culture of writing excellence, and significant experience in developing, writing and proofing communication materials for print and digital mediums.Demonstrated experience working with designers, including preparing briefs and managing the design process.Qualifications A tertiary qualification in communications and/or extensive experience working in communications is essential.How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
