About the opportunity This is a 12-month exciting contract opportunity for an exceptional communicator and project manager, with a passion for engagement and relationship building, who wants to make real impact in the world of philanthropy.
As our Communications Manager, Donor Relations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high value donor communication strategies and creating content for multiple audiences, channels and formats. You will also lead a team of writing professionals who will concentrate on delivering donor impact through stewardship reports, events and other touchpoints so that donors deepen their connection with the University.
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven communications professional. You are a storyteller at heart, and an accomplished leader who is able to combine strategic, creative and analytical thinking to influence content and messaging.
Your wealth of experience in engaging with high value donors will be paramount. You'll achieve success through managing a team of innovative and creative writers with the ability to distil complex information into content for both internal and external key stakeholders. You will be a changemaker with demonstrated experience building communications capabilities across organisations and managing multiple projects at the same time.

· has excellent project management skills and experience with budgets, photographers, deadlines, and stakeholder management
· is strategic in their thinking; you have experience crafting communications strategies that deliver timely and clear messaging to your audience
· has demonstrated sophisticated relationship building and management skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, as well as lead a successful writing team
· has impeccable organisational and time-management skills; you will thrive in an environment where you are multitasking and often working to very tight deadlines
· has experience in content and multimedia creation across multiple platforms, with an emphasis on strong and demonstrated writing ability
· can adapt their writing style; you will be writing for the University's senior leadership including drafting communications for the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor's distinctive voices
· has experience influencing in a complex institution - this would be welcomed but is not essential.
About us The goal of the Donor Relations program is to strengthen the University's relationships with its donors through specialised and meaningful contact with high value donors and supporters who intend to leave an additional gift to the University. The aim of donor relations activity at every level is to build the donor relationship through thanking, acknowledging and engaging donors by clearly imparting the impact of their giving, and deepening the relationship.
