Communications & Information Systems Technician

Job Description Role Summary ELA is owner of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC) a space port south of Nhulunbuy where customers can conduct orbital, sub-orbital launch and testing campaigns for rockets.
ELA relies on sophisticated Communications and Information Systems to maintain safe and effective operation of the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC).
As an ELA CIS Technician you will:
Report to the Head of ICT as part of ELA's Engineering Services Team.Collaborate with ASC and Launch Operations staff to ensure critical ICT is running reliably and with high availability.Enable connectivity between launch vehicles and operations workstations through establishment and maintenance of the Launch Tracking and Telemetry network.Assist in implementing IT infrastructure, upgrades and testing prior to deployment in production networks.Work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deploy the complex systems at the ASC.Assist in the development and rollout of cybersecurity threat mitigation systems.Assist in cybersecurity awareness training of ELA staff.Qualifications About You You should have:
Bachelor of Information Technology, Cybersecurity Major or similar. Additional training and skills are always welcome.5+ years of experience in ICT systems technology, campus networking or cybersecurity.Strong knowledge of ACSC's Strategies to Mitigate Cybersecurity Incidents.Understanding of the ACSC Information Security Manual.Ability to gain Australian Defence clearance NV1 or higher.You should be: Curious to find solutions where others may not think to look.Keen to share your knowledge and expertise and accept the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues.A good communicator able to write appropriately based on your audience.Eager to work in a start-up/scale-up business where you'll be required to take on duties outside your specific title.A good teammate.
