Brief description of role
Are you creative, love the stories and richness of people's lives and like to organise? Want a job that goes beyond earning a dollar and inspires you every day?
Join us as Communications Coordinator where we grow the mission of the church in meaningful ways and share the stories of communities across North NSW.
As part of a team of 3, you'll head up Communications for the North NSW Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. We are looking for someone with amazing communication skills, verbal and written. Who can develop digital content for local churches, outreach and evangelistic projects as well as build relationships throughout the conference. As a leader, we see you producing high quality publications and promoting a positive presence and visual identity in the media.
Here's some of what you'll get up to:
- Coordinate newsletter production with a growing readership
- Monitor social media and manage our newly developed website
- Build relationships with local churches and departments and garner the stories of changed lives and activities around the conference.
5 things that we think will make you ideal for this role

• Qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations and/or extensive experience
• Previous experience in creating publications, covering events, editing and meeting tight deadlines
• Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• High level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, website and social media
• A proven commitment to providing excellent customer service and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
