The Organisation You'll be joining an essential service supplier in the ACT, proudly servicing the community for over 100 years. The Role This is a 5 - 6-month contract covering a leave period within the organisation. This position may extend further but is not currently pitched as being a long term or permanent opportunity at this stage. This position spans across a range of communication areas, including campaign support, internal communications, social media and digital communications. You will be joining a team of communication and engagement experts, who are keen to continue fostering excellent culture. This position can only be offered to Canberra based applicants, with a flexible working from home arrangement for part of your week. Role Responsibilities Manage the communications team email inbox and coordinate tasks to relevant team members as guided by the Team Leader Understand the deliverables for each campaign and liaise with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are achieved. Write the initial drafts of communications content including, website content, brochures and social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) Use the Content Management System to deliver the internal email "the Daily News" each day. Assist with the processing of invoices and payment to suppliers. Liaise with external contractors to coordinate printing, assets and other communication deliverables. Assist with the promotion of events and sponsored events. Participation in the team's on-call media phone roster. Participation at events including set up, face to face conversations with the public and pack down. Your Skills And Experience To be considered for this position, you must possess the following: Experience of at least 3 - 5 years in a communications related position Experience contributing to social media, campaigns and internal communications A can-do attitude, and a bubbly, outgoing personality Benefits And What's In It For You Location: You'll be working in Mitchell, close to essential services (did someone say car service on your lunch break?) and accessible by the light rail.
