Location: Canberra Contract Duration: 12 months - From February 2025 APS Level: APS6 Role SummaryThis essential Federal Government entity is seeking an experienced Communications and Training Support Officer for a 12-month contract at the APS6 level.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in supporting organisational change through effective communication and training.Key Responsibilities:Support Communication and Change Management: Assist the Organisational Change and Communication Manager in developing, maintaining, and delivering communication plans and stakeholder engagement materials.Develop and Deliver Training Materials: Create and deliver various communication and training artefacts, such as news articles, intranet pages, presentations, user guides, and training sessions (face-to-face, online, and recorded formats).Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to plan, coordinate, facilitate, and deliver effective communication and training sessions that support systems implementation.Support Project Communication Plans: Contribute to the planning and execution of communication strategies tailored to different stages of project implementation.Skills and Experience:Communication and Training Expertise: Well-developed skills in planning and delivering communication and training initiatives, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement.Strong Verbal, Written, and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, along with effective computer and online literacy.Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in both a small team environment and within the broader command structure.Multi-format Training Development: Experience in delivering training in various formats, including classroom, face-to-face, and online.Desirable Qualities:Proven experience in supporting organisational change through well-executed communication and training strategies.Ability to deliver engaging content across multiple channels and formats.If you have the skills and experience to contribute to this critical role, we encourage you to apply!
