We represent over 11,000 workers in public and private health, aged care, and community and disability services across the state.We're looking for an energetic and passionate person who is excited about workers' rights and trying new things to join our communications team, where you'll be a part of a broader team striving to make workers' lives better.This is a multi-task and multi-functional role where the work required varies widely consistent with the classification level.Responsibilities:On any given day, your work may include the following:Produce high-quality and compelling graphics and copyWrite, review and quality check content for a wide range of formats and channelsPrepare and assist in the compilation of journal articles, newsletters, bulletins and media releasesParticipate in planning, developing, producing and delivering marketing, communications and campaigns materials from concept through to deliveryProducing other publications from concept through to delivery to support the activities of the Industrial and Administrative teams, including promotional and recruitment materialsAssist in developing identities and branding for HACSU campaignsAssist in implementing digital campaign activities and devising key supporter actionsParticipate in day-to-day campaign activities alongside Industrial staff when requiredAssist with the management of HACSU's social media platforms, and developing and sourcing regular content for them (including copy, website links, shareable graphics, video, etc)You will be someone who:Has a commitment to the Health and Community Services Union and the trade union movementWants to learn on the jobHas good written and verbal communication skillsHas experience in managing social media accountsIs a team player who is always bringing creative ideas to the tableHas the ability to prioritise and perform multiple tasks concurrently and with a high degree of accuracyHas creative flair and demonstrated competence in utilising Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (or equivalents)If these criteria speak to you, you could be the ideal person for the job.It's a big job and we know some great applicants may not tick all the boxes so in any case, if you are keen to become part of the team, we encourage you to apply.Please email @hacsu.org.au for a copy of the position description, selection criteria and our wages and conditions.
