Primary Objective: Manage and monitor the Motor Vehicles Registry's public and in-house marketing and media communications. Oversee the delivery of communications strategies and provide operational business support to assist with the delivery of Motor Vehicle Registry services and continuous improvement projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide high level strategic advice and information to the Director MVR and the Leadership Team to support and enable the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Manage a broad range of MVR projects with a focus on planning and logistics, resource allocation, and consideration of political sensitivities and stakeholder implications.
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of MVR communications strategies, stakeholder consultations and marketing activities.
Working with the department's Communications team, execute social media and digital communication tactics that build meaningful connections and provide clear and accurate information to assist with increasing regulatory compliance in the NT.
Provide writing, proofreading, and editing expertise in the production of key publications, online content and other communications as required.
Prepare high-level project plans, strategies, reports, and communication documents.

Essential:
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications that effectively supports a customer service delivery environment.
Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to liaise and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated high level planning and organisational skills with proven ability to effectively manage competing projects on time and within budget.
Self-motivated with an ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, to deliver outcomes and manage change in an environment of continuous improvement.
Ability to translate complex matters into plain English, write for various audiences and proof a range of documents applied across various platforms.
An ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
Desirable:
Qualifications in Communications, Project Management, or extensive experience in a related discipline.
Experience with working in a regulatory environment and knowledge of driver licensing and vehicle registration regulations.

This may require the successful applicant to provide a National Police Criminal History Check prior to commencement. Regional travel may be required as part of the role.
