The Communications and Content Specialist is part of the Marketing, Communications and Engagement Team and reports to the Marketing Production and Communications Manager. This position is responsible for writing and implementing effective communication and content including school communications, social media, public relations, website, photography, and video.
These responsibilities include:
Editorial and publication content writing and coordination; E-Newsletter communication to the community; Media releases and public relations; Other writing requirements as requested by the School. The role also supports the Digital Content and Social Media Specialist with social media and digital platforms copy and posts, and capturing imagery requirements for the School in-house.
The Communications and Content Specialist will support the strategic goals of the Marketing Communications and Engagement Team and deliver on initiatives to support brand development, differentiation, and exposure.
To be successful in securing this position, you will have: A strong work ethic, a desire to succeed with strong attention to detail. The ability to work as an effective and productive team member who can develop effective working relationships with multiple and varied stakeholders. The ability to manage and prioritise multiple conflicting tasks, meeting expected deadlines of production. Creative and innovative, caring about great narrative and content ideas. Flexible and open-minded, a champion of change and continuous improvement. Minimum 3 years' experience in journalism, marketing communications and/or copywriting. Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks including industry trends and best practices in marketing communications, online and digital platforms.
