An exciting opportunity exists to join The Gap State High School as a Marketing and Events Officer. About the Role:
The successful applicant will be a highly organised and efficient team player with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively, and promote the school in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the school events schedule, coordinating special events such as Award Ceremonies, Graduation, and Open Days. Plan and deliver creative strategies for events and enrolment campaigns by consulting with internal and external stakeholders. Liaise with management to implement and update the marketing portfolio, including the school magazine, newsletters, and sponsorship agreements. Identify and cultivate sponsorship opportunities, developing and maintaining positive relationships with sponsors. Foster strong relationships with staff and students, ensuring positive outcomes through communication and collaboration. Build and maintain relationships with community partners and industry groups to promote the school and enhance its visibility. Organise community-focused events with the P&C Association, including International Women's Day Breakfast, Mother's Day, and Father's Day celebrations. Oversee the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of marketing resources and equipment, adhering to government guidelines and departmental policies. Monitor and manage the marketing budget, ensuring proper application of school funds and compliance with purchasing processes. Draft, write, edit, and publish communications, including newsletters, brochures, school magazines, flyers, and prospectuses. Lead the coordination of annual school photography for staff, students, and facilities. Collaborate on the development and implementation of communication strategies using a range of media to promote the school. Ensure all digital marketing content meets quality standards and aligns with the school's visual identity guidelines.
