This position will lead the development and implementation of contemporary communications and engagement strategies for the TGHH Project. The position will manage the communications and community engagement team to deliver engagement and communications activities for the TGHH. This position will manage brand and reputation for the TGHH through issues and risk management, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources, ensuring communications for the TGHH are engaging, accurate and well received by various audiences (internal and external) in a timely way.

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight)for three years.
Duties Provide specialist advice, develop and implement key communications, community engagement, stakeholder management strategies and services, and other related activities to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as they relate to the Tasmania Green Hydrogen Hub (TGHH). Design and deliver stakeholder engagement, community engagement and communications strategies for the TGHH. Conduct high-level research and analysis and providing advice and input on the development of communication/media strategies, plans and campaigns for the TGHH. Liaise with relevant industry and Government stakeholders on media queries that relate to the TGHH, and undertaking research and developing responses as required. Prepare media releases, media articles, promotional material, publications, website content and other material as required for the TGHH including contracting external consultants and managing projects and media campaigns. Work with consultants, other government agencies, external consultants, and with industry, to undertake market segmentation work, and to develop community engagement and education materials relating to the TGHH. Collaborate with the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, ReCFIT to build the profile and support of the TGHH nationally, and support the Tasmanian Government in achieving its Renewable Energy Strategy. Collaborate with the Bell Bay Advanced Manufacturing Zone (BBAMZ) to achieve successful engagement and communications outcomes for the TGHH. Develop, implement, maintain and review appropriate systems and procedures that support the effective and efficient provision of communications, community and stakeholder engagement, and public relations activities for the TGHH. The position may be assigned other duties as necessary by the Project Director, TGHH. Formal qualifications in communication, public relations, marketing, or related field, preferably with a 'Certificate in Engagement' from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). Significant and demonstrated experience in planning and executing integrated communication (i.e., brand, internal and external communications, public/corporate affairs), media relations and stakeholder engagement.
