Job DescriptionThe Communications and Brand Manager is responsible for advancing the vision and mission of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT by developing and implementing effective brand strategies, marketing initiatives, and communication campaigns to achieve a high level of brand awareness and engagement from Guide Dogs NSW/ACT stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities: Brand and Communications strategies are developed, maintained, executed and align with the Corporate strategy to meet the needs of key internal customers, external audiences and stakeholders.All branded marketing communications are accessible and comply with the brand guidelines and language style guide, including brand architecture, brand language and visual identity.Communications and campaigns are led and delivered to drive awareness and engagement with key audiences and achieve intended outcomes.Clear, consistent and compelling content is created and maintained for a range of communications channels and formats, ensuring all content is accessible and aligns with strategic priorities.The communications and brand team performs effectively and is supported through active leadership and development opportunities.Regular guidance and feedback is provided to team members and performance reviews are conducted regularly as per organisational requirements.Strong working relationships are developed and maintained across the business and with external partners and stakeholders to ensure strategic and operational objectives are met.Collaborating with other departments and teams to develop marketing and communications strategies that support business strategy, including social change and advocacy campaigns, Client and donor engagement and fundraising campaigns.Active participation in team meetings, staff meetings and internal communications to ensure information is shared with the organisation to improve the workflows, outcomes and share successes.Minimum Qualifications: A tertiary degree in communications, marketing, brand or similar.Minimum 7 years' experience in marketing, communications or a similar role, managing a team.Demonstrated considerable success in developing and delivering high-impact strategic and tactical brand, marketing and communications across all platforms.Demonstrated experience in brand management and practical brand and language guideline governance, committed to creating inclusive and accessible content.Superior written and verbal communication skills, possess a high level of competency in writing for publications and copywriting skills for digital platforms.Experience in the management, leadership, and development of staff.An appreciation of the not-for-profit sector.Experience in the disability sector, preferably blindness and low vision.Benefits that Guide Dogs offer: A competitive remuneration package is available commensurate with skills and experience, which includes tax free salary packaging of up to $15,900.EAP - Get support when you need it with Employee Assistance Program counselling sessions.Me Days – Receive two paid days per year to support your health and wellbeing.Paid Parental Leave – take time to bond with your new child with 15 weeks paid leave after qualification period.The option to purchase up to 4 weeks additional leave each year.Employee benefits program and Reward and Recognition program.Support for your professional development including paid study leave and educational assistance.Join an organisation that makes a meaningful and positive impact on our society.Guide Dogs NSW/ACT are proud to be an inclusive workplace that reflects our clients and the broader community and are committed to providing a work environment in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect.
