It's an exciting time to be a part of the Fortescue family and we are looking for an experienced Communications professional to join our team to drive and deliver the communications and employee engagement plan for and from our Chichester Hub.
With a focus on delivering innovative and engaging communications for our Operations and Corporate teams and acting as a trusted and skilled business partner to major portfolios including Health and Safety, Integrated Operations, Community, Decarbonisation and site-based Operations, you will be responsible for building clarity and connection across the business, with particular focus on our Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak mine operations and our the Green Energy Hub.
This site-based role will cover many areas of communications including developing bespoke plans for major projects and specific sites, writing, design, content creation and developing innovative digital channels to engage our teams with messages and information they care about, supporting overall business objectives.
This role would suit dynamic communications professionals with the ability to showcase Fortescue's success to both key internal and external stakeholders, embedding our unique culture and values, and driving strong employee engagement.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with leadership teams as a trusted advisor, developing messaging to manage complex and sensitive issues and promote team and business objectivesEvaluate impact of communications channels and messages to our frontline employees, to achieve real and measurable engagementDevelop engaging proactive and reactive content across our internal and external communications platformsProtect and promote Fortescue's reputation through crisis communications and strategic adviceSupport crisis communications for operations and corporateSupport events for internal activities on site, community engagement events, and high-profile external eventsEnsure all content is underpinned by our Values and produced in line with global communications, brand and market disclosure guidelinesQualifications and ExperienceA strong background in internal communications, with the opportunity to leverage other skills including media, content creation, public relations and eventsA bachelor's degree in communications or related discipline/field such as public relations, digital communications or journalism is preferredUnderstanding of mining operations and green energy industries is preferredDemonstrated understanding of tailoring writing and content for various channels and audiencesAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentOur CommitmentFortescue is deeply committed to providing a safe culture that builds respect, fosters inclusiveness, and values diversity.
