Communications Advisor

Details of the offer

2 year (full-time) fixed term contract
Based in Norwest | Flexible/hybrid work arrangement
Use your comms expertise to bring stories and projects to life

Exciting opportunity for a highly organised, people-focused Communications Advisor to join our Marketing and Communications Team.
About the role:
Reporting to the Project Communications Manager, you will use your high-level writing skills within a team who are creative, encouraging, fun, and love their jobs.
While you'll work within an amazing Media & Communications team, your robust stakeholder management skills will also see you working with teams right across NSW, ACT and WA, providing your communication expertise.
Ultimately, you're a writer who puts the audience at the heart of what you produce. Writing comes naturally to you, and you'll easily pick up our organisational tone.
With an eye for detail, you also know how to influence up, down and across as you work with stakeholders to create effective communications plans, and detailed but succinct communications. Your people-first approach to strategic communication projects will be a great asset.
Projects will include a special focus on updates for our property developments, as well as supporting our internal change management and integration projects.
With agile writing skills, you'll also be able to cross over to developing heart-warming and engaging stories and short videos as you help our audiences to understand, learn about and connect with our residential aged care, retirement living, home care and community services and housing services. This will include a range of publications and channels, from our intranet to website.
You're active on social media and can grab opportunities and convert them to social content, while monitoring our channels to ensure the safety of our online community.
You love to be busy, navigate your deadlines, and have a laugh with a great team of media and communications professionals. This role will suit a highly organised communications professional with strong interpersonal/relationship-building skills seeking an opportunity to join a leading not-for-profit.
About you:
To be considered, you will have:

Formal qualifications or equivalent experience in communications, PR or a related professional field managing stakeholder communications.
At least 5 years' experience in a related role, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation – though not necessary.
Demonstrated experience in planning, writing, and producing content across multiple channels, including web, enews, eDM, email, and print.
The ability to tailor communications to specific audiences.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Experience performing administrative tasks in a team environment.
A genuine alignment to BaptistCare's values.
High energy and confidence, with the ability to think fast, problem solve and respond to reactive organisational needs, with competing deadlines and time pressures.
Able to transform complex information into clear and compelling messages.
Current driver's license.

Benefits:
BaptistCare aims to support employees to enjoy happier lives and fulfilling careers by providing them with:

A competitive remuneration plus Not-for-Profit (NFP) salary packaging.
Unlimited access across an extensive choice of fitness facilities through the 'Fitness Passport' program.
Access to benefits for you and your family through our 'Flourish' wellness program.
Excellent learning and development opportunities and great team culture - just to name a few of our wonderful benefits!
