This is your opportunity to make a difference.Job DescriptionThe role of Communications Adviser will play a critical role in supporting all Communications related activity across multiple stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Communications, this role will manage and contribute all communication items to be delivered across various channels. You will be a communications professional who has exceptional creative and storytelling skills to drive engaging and innovative communications for the organisation. You will be a true collaborator who can work proactively and within a cross-functional team environment. With extensive knowledge of modern communications strategy, best practice and channels, you will support and drive engaging communication strategies for your stakeholders.Typically, in this role you will:Manage and contribute to the production of creative and engaging communication items across various channels.Produce material to inform AFCA employees about AFCA initiatives and empower them to respond to questions from external stakeholders.Collaborate closely with senior management to develop communications that achieve the aims of the corporate plan and other strategic initiatives of the organisation.Provide ongoing advice on communications and stakeholder engagement best practice to enhance AFCA's current communications and develop new projects and channels.Manage the delivery of communications by coordinating production on time and on budget and seeking input from subject matter experts and stakeholders.Ensure all AFCA's communications are consistent with communications aims and key messages, as well as AFCA's brand and values.Track effectiveness of communications strategies and deliverables, regularly report on progress, and make recommendations for improvement and enhancement.QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications or experience in communications, public relations, or a related relevant field.Financial services experience is essential.Extensive knowledge and understanding of modern communications strategy, best practice and channels.Excellent communications skills, including the ability to write, edit and produce highly professional communications solutions across a range of modern media and channels.High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.A team player, with emotional intelligence and sound judgement whilst collaborating and cooperating on decisions and initiatives.Demonstrated ability to productively engage with stakeholders.Highly developed service culture, ability to advise and guide others towards mutually beneficial approaches.Additional InformationLife at AFCAOur people are at the centre of everything we do.
