MIDDAY ON MONDAY, 13 JANUARY 2025 Job Description The Visitor Engagement and Social Research Branch coordinates visitor communications and engagement activity, visitor and social research, and systems development and support for Parks and Wildlife Service.
This includes maintaining essential assets that enhance visitor engagement such as the department's visitor-facing website (Explore Parks WA) and campground information and booking system (Park Stay WA).
The branch is also responsible for maintaining a strong social media presence, on-site interpretive media, wayfinding and directional signs, and conducting visitor and social research to gather and analyze data to inform departmental decision-making.
We currently have an opportunity for a Communication Design Assistant to join our team.
As a Communication Design Assistant, you will assist the Communication Designers in developing a variety of media to attract, inspire, and motivate visitors to Parks and Reserves to respond to messages and value places.
Additionally, you will provide support services in the planning and development of print and digital information products and 'wayfinding' signage.

Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria.
These should be addressed in no more than two (2) pages in total: Experience in developing visitor communication products for a recreation or tourism-related field.Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team and work effectively with minimal supervision.Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.Experience in the use of relevant computer software (such as Adobe suite, Microsoft suite).About Us DBCA, one of Western Australia's largest state government agencies, provides exciting and challenging career opportunities in biodiversity conservation and park and natural resource management.
